I have lived most of life in North Carolina. Born in Winston Salem, our family moved when I was approximately 1 year old to south and then central Florida until I was about 8 years old. We then moved to Augusta Georgia and lived until starting 9th grade. At that time, we moved back to Winston Salem where I attended Reynolds High school and played QB on the football team and left field on the baseball team.
In 1979 I graduated from East Carolina University and went to work for a family owned business until 1983 when I received another degree in Computer Science. In 1984, I got married to Lisa Robertson and also started my career in the corporate world as a computer junkie. In 1989, my daughter was born and soon afterwards I started my new career as a computer consultant living in Winston Salem and traveling allot throughout the US. It was this career that taught me the lessons of being of service to my clients in a meaningful way with knowledge and patience.
As my daughter grew up and starting showing real promise in soccer, I opted to become more of a contractor rather working for a consulting firm so I could pick the locating of my next gig(job) and be home to enjoy watching her play.
Right after the events of Sept. 2001 I got off the road altogether and started my real estate career 100%. I had been a part time agent but decided that being home all the time was more important. My real estate business thrived in the beginning mostly because of referrals and knowledge with technology and advertising. I worked for REMAX, C21 and Keller Williams along the way to get acclimated to the business better. I found those were not that big a help. They mostly just took part of my hard earned checks.
As everyone knows 2008 brought on the crash. It was at that time, I started the Property Management division of Carolina Living and have built that part of the business where we now have offices in 2 cities and approx. 100 homes under management.
I am very proud of where Carolina Living is now and how we have survived the crash and now thrive. I am all about providing A+ customer service and not charging clients like other firms do. I will be dong video's on this subject in the future but rest assured that agents with Carolina Living Real Estate are caring and not just about making buck!
Lastly, I am proud to still be married to Lisa and of my daughter who is a 1st paramedic in Charlotte NC!
